15+ yearsproducts
I blend product design and product strategy to craft complex digital systems into memorable experiences.
I am a product design leader with the craft to ship the work myself, across startups and publicly traded companies in Europe and North America. Head of Experience Design at trivago, Head of UX and Product at APY.vision, Principal Product Designer at Dtravel and kpk. The work has consistently extended into product, from framing priorities and defining roadmaps to deciding what does not get built.
My expertise
Practice
Hands on craft excellence and strong expertise on the tooling, processes, and documentation that leverage UX in a product environment.
People
Mentorship and direction for other team members, improving collaboration and unlocking potential to raise the bar and the output pace.
Product
Defining where a product goes next and how good it is when it gets there, judged against the business case rather than the backlog.
My approach
- 01
Systems before screens
I design underlying structures, mental models, and workflows first. Every visual choice should reflect an underlying model, constraint, or decision.
- 02
Clarity beats completeness
Complex domains require ruthless prioritisation. I favour clear, opinionated views over exposing every possible variable.
- 03
Trust through transparency
In high-stakes environments, users need to understand what's happening, why it's happening, and what will happen next. Transparency and predictability come before optimisation.
- 04
Workflows, not features
I design around how people actually operate day to day, especially under pressure, rather than around isolated features or technical capabilities.
- 05
Progress through iteration
Rough artefacts, prototypes, and partially formed ideas are tools to learn faster. Polish comes after understanding.

He modelled the domain before drawing a single screen, and kept asking what we should build rather than how it should look. It was the cleanest work I have built from.

Jeremy spent a year arguing that search should explain itself, mostly with people who thought it was a research project. He was still arguing the week it shipped.
